Three Basic Paragraphs for :
Rainforests are huge forests of trees and climbing plants, like vines. The trees are usually more than 30 meters tall, and some are as tall as 60 meters.
Most of the leaves and branches grow from the tops of the trunks. Together they form a dense canopy which stops light reaching the ground beneath. There is little undergrowth, so it is easy to hack a path through the forest.
Rainforests grow in parts of South America, Central Africa and South East Asia where the weather is hot and wet for most of the year.
Three Basic Paragraphs for :
Eagles are raptors, as are hawks, falcons, ospreys and vultures. There are about 225 kinds of raptors living in almost all parts of the world. They range in size from the Andean condor a giant raptor with a wingspan of 12 feet, to the tiny elf owl, which is smaller than a robin.
There are fifty five species of raptors in North America. Two of them are the red-tailed hawk and the barn owl, which we have in New Mexico. Others are the bald eagle, the snowy owl and the barred owl.
One of my favorite raptors is the barn owl because we have so many of them. They make pretty cool hooting sounds in the evening before they go out to catch small mice in the dark after sunset.
Three Basic Paragraphs for :
I would like to write about drugs. There are many drugs which are good for us. They are called medicine and can help us recover from illnesses. But other types of drugs are bad for us and can hurt us very seriously.
The harmful types of drugs are barbiturates, tranquilizers, amphetamines, as well as drugs like marijuana and cocaine. We must be very careful and try to avoid these drugs if they are offered to us. Most students are very cautious and intelligent. They know how to say "NO" when they are approached by a person selling drugs.
There should be a strong anti-drug program at our school and at all Middle Schools in the Southwest. I would like to learn more about the effects of drugs and why we should avoid them.
